Y4 ‘Evacuee’ Visitors

May 24, 2013

Year 4 had the opportunity to put questions to two experts on WW2 last week. One had been evacuated from London aged 9 years old, (the same age as most of the members of the class), and the other had been a baby during the war but was able to share some extraordinary reminiscences and souvenirs collected by her father (who had been the driver of a ‘flame throwing’ tank). After having studied WW2 this term, the children were enthralled by the stories that our visitor had to tell.
