Allergy Awareness Day

May 16, 2014

On Tuesday 13th May,  Hailey from Allergy Adventures spent the day at Greenway raising children’s awareness of how we can all help children with food allergies to live a safe, happy and healthy life. In the morning she talked to the children from Year 1-4 in assembly where she shared the important messages of what are the types of food allergies and how we can support children who have them by not sharing food at lunchtimes and break times so that children with food allergies stay safe. She also shared with the children one of her Allergy adventure stories which further reinforced this message.

During the day she also worked with Rowan in Year 1 and Silver birch in Year 3 where the children were actively involved in practical workshops to raise their awareness further about food allergies.
