Key Stage 2 Maths Parent workshop – Thursday, 19th June

June 23, 2014

On Thursday 19th June parents of children from Year 2 to Year 4 attended an informative evening where they learnt how to support their child in Maths. During the evening they practically learnt how to use the formal calculation methods which the children are taught for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Despite England playing in the World cup at the same time we had a fantastic turn out of parents. We would like to thank all of the parents who sacrificed the game to attend. If you were unable to attend and would like to know how to support your child with Maths please see our Calculation policy on parents’ section of the website.

The evening received very positive feedback which included:-

‘Very helpful to review Maths vocabulary and terminology that our children are learning, so we don’t confuse them at home with different language and methodology. Many thanks for empowering parents to support our children and making Maths fun!’

‘Very useful! Thanks for invaluable tools and tips to better support my children.’

‘Another fantastic workshop!  Great to see the building blocks coming together. Keep up the good work. My child loves Maths!’

‘Always so grateful for these workshops – so helpful! Thank you all!’
