Roman Tasting – Year 3

November 10, 2014

In Year 3 we have been learning about the Romans. Silver Birch and Maple imagined that they were at a Roman banquet and enjoyed (mostly!) tasting a range of foods.  In Roman times it was considered good manners to accept whatever food you were offered and the children were all willing to try!  Bread with honey, oil or vinegar were all quite popular, however the bread with fish sauce was definitely an acquired taste!  Some of the children were a little disappointed that there were no crispy bees or flamingo brains on offer!
