Year 5 St Albans Cathedral visit – 14th November 2014

November 26, 2014

On Friday 14th November Spruce and Sycamore classes visited the Cathedral Church of St Albans to link with our learning in RE and History.

It was a busy day touring the Cathedral and learning about every aspect of life there. We enjoyed hearing the organ music and some of us glimpsed a wedding ceremony! Some children had the opportunity to dress up and all of us were given a small chocolate egg. The WW1 memorials were very interesting and those of us who visit St Albans regularly learned something new. The art workshop allowed the children to demonstrate their artistic talents, some beautiful sketches were produced.

Our guides were very knowledgeable and commented on how well the children answered all the questions. Well done everyone!
