Year 5 O2 visit – 28 January 2015

January 30, 2015

Wow! What an amazing experience Year 5 had at the O2 on Wednesday 28th January!

It was hard work learning all those songs and practising the dance moves, but everyone agreed that it was all worth it when they got there. The Young Voices concert was incredible, the children sang and danced their hearts out and even the teachers threw some shapes with the help of street dancers Urban Strides. Well done to everyone involved and a special thanks to Mrs O’Brien for having the idea to go in the first place. These are some of the things the children have said about the day:

“It was spectacular when the lights went out and all the children turned on their torches!” (Martha)

“I really want to go again, no matter how tired I am.” (John)

“It was a magical experience that I will never forget.” (Amy)

“When the lights were off and your torch was on the arena seemed to be filled with stars.” (Gabi)

“My whole experience of the O2 will stay with me forever.” (Alice)

“I’ll always remember the moment at the O2 when we were singing the Andrew Lloyd Webber medley and when we finished the lights went out and all you could see was the torches in the air.” (Michael)
