High five netball – Greenway A team 11.1.16

January 12, 2016

On Monday 11th January, the Greenway A high five netball team had their first ever high five game against Leverstock green.

The girls had never played a competitive high five game before so this was a new experience.
As expected, it took the girls a while to get used to the rule differences which unfortunately saw the girls trail Leverstock green 3-0 in the first quarter. The second quarter saw a much more matured approach from the girls. They created a lot more chances and saw a lot more possession. However, the girls still didn’t manage to score. The third quarter was definitely the girl’s best quarter. They continuously created chances and had the majority of the possession which they used to make fluid attacks at the opposition defence. The girls did claw one back this quarter with a measured shot from Isabella which gave the girls some much needed hope. The attacks continued but none were converted. The final quarter saw the opposition pull away to take the game 5-1.
The girls worked really well and were very positive throughout the game and there are many positives to take from the game considering it was the first time. I have no doubts that the girls will only improve from here as the league progresses.
