Space Ambassador Visits Greenway, 25th January 2016

January 26, 2016

As part of Greenway School’s involvement in the Tim Peake Primary Project we had our first visit from our ‘Space Ambassador’, Robin Mobbs.

The KS2 children were fascinated to hear about different rockets and were given some idea of the enormous distances involved in the exploration of space. Then, we heard about gravity and how our understanding of this force began with Galileo Galilei.

Next, we moved right up-to-date with detailed information about the International Space Station and what it is like to live there.

As a final note, Robin reminded the children that there are many jobs that people do in the field of space exploration and that if they wish, that could be their future!
