Young Voices 2016

January 29, 2016

Year 5 had an unforgettable experience at the O2 Area in London when they attended the 20th Young Voices concert. They were amongst nearly seven and a half thousand children who sang in one of the largest children’s choirs. They sang in a whole range of musical styles and performed the accompanying moves that they have been learning over the last few months.

The whole concert was an eclectic mix of performers, not just our children. We were entertained by the street dancers Urban Strides (one of whom is an ex-Greenway pupil), the beautiful soprano voice of Laura Wright and the Beat-Box World Champions. We also watched Mrs O’Brien on stage in the Teacher’s Choir and joined in a tribute to the late David Bowie.

The event was a resounding success; thoroughly enjoyed by all the participants and the audience as well.

Well done Year 5!
