Egyptian Day 11.7.16

July 19, 2016

Year 4 were really excited about their Ancient Egyptian Day on 11th July. They all arrived dressed in their amazing costumes and spent the morning learning about ancient Egyptian arts and crafts. They learnt how to make perfumed oils, clay canopic jars, how to write in hieroglyphs, about mummification and many more exciting crafts.

In the afternoon, they split into groups to rehearse drama, mime and royal ceremony. The children performed their dances to the ‘royal family’ and then enjoyed a banquet of authentic food and ‘wine’ to finish off a fun day filled with learning!
