Anti-bullying Week, Dec 2016

December 6, 2016

This year’s Anti-bullying theme was using your ‘Power For Good’. It was introduced in the Monday assemblies and then children learnt more in their classes over the week. On Friday the whole school joined hands and formed a circle around the school to show our unity against bullying and we reflected on how we can all use our ‘power for good’.

Children were invited to enter an anti-bullying competition, creating posters, poems or raps to promote a greater understanding of what bullying is, acceptable and unacceptable behaviour and how we can deal with bullying. The response was overwhelming with over two hundred children taking part! Many children bravely performed their raps and poems individually and in groups. The standard was so high that it took half a day to choose the winners! Everyone who took part should be very proud of themselves.
