Yr 5 visit to Ashmolean Museum, March 2017

March 24, 2017

Year 5 spent a highly enjoyable day at the Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology in Oxford as part of their History studies.

Our current History topic is Ancient Greece and we were guided around some of the everyday artefacts in the museum’s collection. The children were able to handle objects that were over 2,000 years old!

The children also discovered the top ten artefacts that the museum has to offer. Some even managed to find Berkhamsted on a huge tapestry of Oxfordshire and its surrounding counties!

We managed to see only a tiny part of what this museum has to offer.
