Year 6 Residential to Minehead, June 2017

July 7, 2017

Year 6 had an amazing time at Minehead last week! After a rather long coach journey, we arrived and spent the next few days enjoying a wide range of exciting and entertaining activities. We really didn’t have time to stop! The children had great fun getting to know the Red Coats who were assigned to us and they learned many new skills: magic tricks, fencing, dancing, archery, climbing and rocket building, to name but a few. The most popular activities were the High Rope challenge, where the children overcame their fear of heights and the trips to the fun fair, where they were able to go on the rides as many times as they liked, even in the rain – there was no stopping them!

The food was great and we had lots to choose from at each mealtime – although there was cheesecake for every dessert! Mr Loczy and Mr Lewis tucked into massive portions three times a day, so it’s good job they do so much PE at school!

In the evenings, the children had activities until bedtime so were certainly ready to settle down. They were so well behaved and were an absolute credit to the school for how responsible and sensible they were. It was definitely a trip where memories have been made!
