Maple & Spruce visit to Wimbledon, May 2018

The children in Maple and Spruce had a wonderful time visiting the world famous Wimbledon Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. They were taken on a behind the scenes tour, which included a visit to Centre Court, press rooms and the players entrance.

In the teacher-led session they were given the opportunity to learn how to be a sports journalist and wrote reports on the Wimbledon championships of 1922. In the museum they saw the real Champions trophies and went up on the roof of the press rooms.

When this year’s tournament begins in, they will really enjoy spotting all the places they were able to go!
