30 hour Nursery Provision

Historically, Nursery aged children have been entitled to 15 hours of Free Early Education. This will continue with daily provision available from 9am-Midday for your child.

However, from September 2017 our Nursery will now be offering 30 hours of high quality Free Early Education, subject to eligibility. The 30 hours free childcare is designed to help working families by reducing the cost of childcare and to support parents into work or to work more hours, should they wish to do so.  We believe that the additional time in our setting will also help to further develop your child’s readiness for school.

Should you wish to take advantage of this, our Nursery will offer 30 hours of high quality early education between the hours of 9am and 3pm.  Lunchtime will operate during the day between 12pm and 1pm. You will be requested to provide your child with a packed lunch. School provides a snack in the morning at no extra cost to yourselves. School will also provide a snack of fruit and milk/water in the afternoon should your child stay on for these additional hours.

Click here for further information and eligibility.

If you are not eligible for 30 hours funding then it should be possible (dependant on numbers applying) to offer you some paid afternoon sessions. The cost of these wef September 2020 will be £21 per afternoon.

Report after first week of 30 hour provision:

30 Hours is proving to be a great success in Nursery!
Children are enjoying eating their packed-lunch with their new friends. Our new beds have also caused great excitement, enabling a time of relaxation and quiet while children listen to stories – and provide a comfy place to nap, as required, after their lunch.
As well as developing their personal and social development, children are continuing to engage in learning through planned activities relating to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), topics and themes, (see attached photos).
