World Book Day, Year 3

Year 3 LOVE books! (Its official!)

It was a joy to see the range of literature that the children brought to school on World Book Day.  Mrs Bennett shared some of her favourite books from childhood (some of them are still around today!) and read from her all time children’s favourite.  It was clear to see that a good story transcends the passing of time!  Then the children took part in a few rounds of ‘Speed Book Dating’ which involved talking to a partner about a favourite book before quickly switching partners for another minute or two of literary seduction! We became inspired to read such a range of literature and the children became very good at summarising their books and explaining why they liked them so much.
