Greenway Tree Nursery

We had a lovely morning in the sunshine planting out our small tree saplings. The 50 saplings have been donated to us by the Earth Restoration Service. Each sapling was planted by a different child from across all year groups during our Easter Camp. We have 5 different species – Oak, Hazel, Hawthorn, Dogwood and Crab Apple. We will look after the saplings for a couple of years and then work with the local community to plant the small trees out in our town. We just need to keep them well watered in the next few months if we don’t get lots of rain.
