Reception, Autumn Term 2020

We have been doing lots of exciting learning in Reception this term. We thought you might like to see some of the activities we have experienced.

As you can see, we have had great fun settling in, making new friends, recognising numbers and shapes, exploring the classroom environment and learning through our play. We have also challenged ourselves to use our ‘Yet Magic’, where we keep trying, even when we find things tricky.

Our favourite topic this term has been Space. We have loved exploring the Space station and role playing being astronauts! This topic has helped us to explore non-fiction books, understand positional language and to recognise and order numbers, counting forwards and backwards.
