Herts School Games Finals – Ultimate Frisbee, 08.07.22

Our district champions, Ultimate Frisbee side went to Oaklands College to take part in this years school games finals. The day started with a visit from British taekwondo athlete, Lutalo Muhammad, who represented Great Britain at the 2012 Summer Olympics, winning a bronze medal, and the 2016 Summer Olympics, winning a silver medal. He won the gold medal in the −87 kg class at the 2012 European Taekwondo Championship.

Once the games were declared open, our Frisbee team had a morning of practice to ready them for an afternoon of competitive matches in the county finals tournament. The team raced to 3 wins to come out of the group stages on top. This featured a tough final game which saw Greenway come from 2-0 to win the match.

Greenway had progressed to the finals against a difficult opponent. They went 2-1 down at the halfway point but then bounced back with an impressive 6-3 victory to take the county title. Well done to Siena, Sophia, Evie, Toby and Barney – Ultimate Frisbee County Champions! Excellent effort from all throughout the day and impeccable sportsmanship throughout.
