Go Connect 2025 K’NEX Challenge at Greenway 1st May 2025
Children in Years 5 and 6 have participated in the annual Stempoint K’NEX Challenge (a competition run across Hertfordshire).They spent half the day with an engineer who is also a STEM ambassador.
The task was to imagine, design and build a fairground ride using the K’NEX constructions kits provided. They had only one hour to build their creations.
Our visitor, who was judging the results, was very impressed by with the teamwork and resilience demonstrated by all the children. Judging was not only on the model but also on the way the children explained their ideas.
It was very difficult to pick the winners but the pairs chosen to represent Greenway in the next round of the competition are:
Year 5 Evelyn Loizou and Clara Bucknell,
Year 6 Patrick Lane and Benji Ubly.
