Summer Camp 2026

Thank you to all the children who came along and supported our Summer Camp 2026! This was our 7th year running the camp, and we hope your children enjoyed the wide range of activities on offer. The weather was incredibly hot this year, and we were very impressed with how well the children managed in the intense heat.

Our arts and crafts activities included Tic-Tac-Toe (noughts and crosses) during the first week, followed by handmade candle holders decorated in a ‘whimsical’ style. During the final week, the children created ‘sock toys’, making ‘soctopus’ creatures and whales, while learning lots of new skills along the way.

Our baking creations included Portuguese sweet bread, focaccia, vanilla sprinkle cake, jammy biscuits and oat cookies. We all loved the baking activities and hope your children enjoyed learning some new skills and were proud of their achievements. We certainly seemed to pick the hottest days of the year to have all the ovens on! However, the bread proving in over 30-degree heat was a huge success!

The children particularly loved playing hide-and-seek and ‘It’ outside, making full use of the whole school grounds. We were very impressed with everyone’s behaviour and maturity, particularly some of the younger children who were new to holiday camps. Although the heat meant that we had to cancel or adapt some activities, we hope the children still enjoyed the sports and games on offer.

We have some lovely photos of the children having fun, including some from a particularly hot day when we brought out miniature water pistols to help everyone cool down!

We finished the final day with Just Dance and party music in the hall — a great way to end a fantastic few weeks!
